Technical Advisor

Dr. Lim Nguyen serves as technical advisor in matters that involve electrically conductive concrete. Lim Nguyen has over 30 years of experience performing R & D, engineering and teaching in the RF/microwave and fiber optic areas, from theoretical analysis to simulation studies, systems engineering and hardware development. He was an EMC system engineer at Xerox Corp. in El Segundo, CA, an RF engineer at Hughes Aircraft Corp. in Anaheim Hills, CA, and an RF and microwave engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA. Additionally, Dr. Nguyen was with the USAF Phillips Laboratory at Kirtland AFB as an electronic-optical engineer.

Since 1996, he has been with the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Lim holds B.S. degrees in both Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from MIT; and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Caltech, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Rice University. He received 4 patents and have authored or co-authored over 100 scientific publications. His research in conductive concrete is in collaboration with Prof. Christopher Tuan of the department of Civil Engineering for surface pavement heating and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) shielding applications.
